Her approach to the use of medications in children is carefully considered and collaborative. In addition, mindfulness-based interventions may be offered to older children and teens.
Diagnostic evaluations and treatment is available for ADHD, ASD, anxiety disorders, including school anxiety/school avoidance, impulse control disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, and trauma and stressor-related disorders.

What to Expect at Your Child's First Visit
Before your child's first appointment, a free 15-minute introductory call with Dr. Bowers is required. This call gives you a chance to share your concerns, ask questions, and determine if the practice is the right fit for your family.
Initial appointments for children and adolescents are typically 90 minutes. This time is split between parents and child, allowing Dr. Bowers to gather a thorough developmental history from caregivers while also meeting directly with your child. During this visit, Dr. Bowers will review developmental history, current symptoms, school and social functioning, and any prior evaluations or treatments.
Following the initial evaluation, Dr. Bowers will discuss her findings and work with your family to develop a collaborative, individualized treatment plan. This may include medication management, mindfulness-based interventions for older children and teens, nutritional supplementation, or lifestyle adjustments. Follow-up appointments are typically 25 or 50 minutes depending on your child's needs and level of complexity.

Patients must be located in one of these states during their appointment. However, in-person appointments may be better suited for young children, individuals seeking autism evaluations, and those interested in yoga therapy.

The practice is not designed for and does not accept patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, methamphetamines, kratom, or cannabis. Dr. Bowers does not routinely prescribe benzodiazepines, Ambien, Lunesta, or Sonata, and does not prescribe opioids.
